Livestock plays an important role in the economy of India. Pig occupies a unique place, as pig rearing is considered to be the most encouraging and appropriate livestock. Pig is most popularly reared by the people of North Eastern Region, particularly by the tribal people of plains as well as of hills. Though, pig farming occupied major contribution, most of the farmers has lacking scientific knowledge about pig farming.
