Dr. Suman Singh, an ICAR Emeritus Professor at MPUAT, Udaipur, is an expert in Resource Management, Ergonomics and Consumer Education. Her major research focus has been on drudgery reduction for women farmers. She is honoured with international Award, the IEA Liberty Mutual Medal with cash prize of 10 000 USD. With numerous publications, books, patents, and international presentations, she’s a respected academician and lifetime member of several professional societies. Dr. Sapna Dinesh, Assistant Professor at Mount Carmel College, Bengaluru, specializes in Resource Management and Design. With a Ph.D. from Mother Teresa Women’s University and experience in graphic design and architecture, her research spans entrepreneurship, sustainable interior design, and ergonomics. Dr. Roopa Rao, Associate Professor at Mumbai’s College of Home Science Nirmala Niketan, has 29 years of teaching experience. Specializing in Ergonomics, Interior Design, Hospitality, and Consumer Education. With a Ph.D. emphasizing Musculoskeletal Discomfort, she has mentored over 70 research projects, and publications, and active participation in academic boards and conferences.

Dr. Suman Singh Retired as a Professor and Director of Student Welfare and Chairman of Sports Board, Directorate of Student Welfare, Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, Udaipur (Raj.), India. Presently she is working as an ICAR Emeritus Professor at MPUAT, Udaipur. Her research interests are Ergonomics and Consumer Education. She has vast experience of working in the field of Drudgery Reduction of Women Farmers. She was the Principal Investigator of a research project, “Mitigating Hardship of Women Farmers in India through Technology Interventions,” funded by the John Deere Foundation, USA. She has also worked as Co-PI in a World Bank-funded ICAR Mission Mode research project on the ‘Empowerment of Women in Agriculture.’ She is the recipient of a prestigious International Award, IEA Liberty Mutual Medal-2009 for Excellence in Research in Occupational Safety and Ergonomics, with a cash prize of 10,000 US$. She has been also awarded the Swami Vivekananda National Award for Women in Consumer Protection, by the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Govt. of India, New Delhi. She has also bagged First prize for an educational film by UGC-CEC. She has many National Awards to her credit besides being felicitated as the University’s Best Teacher for Academic Excellence. She has several publications in reputed journals, four books, and two Patents to her credit and has made presentations on national and international platforms. She has visited Korea, the Netherlands, China, France, and Germany for academic pursuits. She is a lifetime member of many professional societies.

Dr. Sapna Dinesh is currently working as an Assistant Professor in Resource Management and Design at Mount Carmel College (Autonomous), Bengaluru which is affiliated with Bangalore City University. She pursued her Ph.D. and M.Phil. from Mother Teresa Women’s University and Master’s from Avinashilingham Institute for Home Science and Higher Education. She has also completed her graphic designing course from Bangalore and Post Graduate Diploma in Architecture and Interior design. She has 7 years of teaching experience and 2.5 years of industry experience. Her areas of research include entrepreneurship and consumerism, micro-green farming, sustainable interior design, and ergonomics. She has published 20 research articles in National peer-reviewed journals and as proceedings and book chapters. She has published two books. Dr. Sapna has also developed stress assessment tools for various age groups and a handbook of coping strategies to manage stress for children and parents as an intervention program. She is a lifetime member of the Home Science Association of India, Secretary for HSAI - Karnataka Chapter, and member of the Indian Society of Ergonomics (ISE).

Dr. Roopa R. Rao Associate Professor at the College of Home Science Nirmala Niketan (Affiliated with the University of Mumbai), has 28+ years of teaching experience spanning Ergonomics, Interior Design, Hospitality Management, and Consumer Education. Her Ph.D. dissertation, “Prevalence of Musculoskeletal Discomfort and Needle Stick and Sharps Injury Among Nurses in Mumbai,” underscores her expertise. She has overseen 70+ under-graduate and 17 post-graduate research projects, currently mentoring 3 Ph.D. scholars, and authored 40+ publications and 5 co-authored books. Beyond teaching, Dr. Rao serves as Joint Secretary of the International Board for Education, Research, and Development (IBERD), actively contributing to international conferences. She plays pivotal roles on multiple Boards of Studies (BoS), and her leadership extends to managing the University of Mumbai’s participation in prestigious research conventions, Anveshan (National Level) and Aavishkar (State Level). Her accomplishments include a Silver Medal at the 12th Aavishkar Maharashtra State Research Convention (2018) and a Gold Medal at the 13th Aavishkar Maharashtra State Research Convention (2019). Dr. Rao passionately shares knowledge through workshops, seminars, and training programs for students and industry professionals. She is also actively engaged in social initiatives by organizing skill development and awareness programs for underprivileged communities. Her active involvement extends to multiple organizations, including the Indian Society for Ergonomics (ISE), Consumer Guidance Society of India (CGSI), Council for Fair Business Practices (CFBP), Home Science Association of India (HSAI), Indian Association for Women’s Studies (IAWS), Global Leaders Foundation (GLF), and Indian Association Occupational Health (IAOH).
