The Agri-food sector has a major role to play in ensuring food security and economic development especially for development countries. Further these collection will provide a much needed platform to discuss the emerging issues and problem in agriculture and will come out with a well-defined strategy to overcome the challenges of food, environment and livelihood security. This book is therefore an extremely valuable contribution towards agriculture sciences with its roots in science disciplines. Dr. Mohinder Singh working as Assistant Professor (Agronomy) in the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, SGT University, Gurugram. He has passed his B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture, M.Sc. (Agronomy) and Ph.D (Agronomy) from Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar. He received Excellence Teacher Award- (2017), SGT University Gurugram, Young Scientist Award (Agronomy)- Society for Agriculture Innovation and Development (SAID), Ranchi (Jharkhand), India 13-15th May, 2017 and Appreciation Award, SGT University (2019). He has also published theoretical manual “Introductory Agriculture” and a Practical manual entitled “Livestock Poultry Management” printed and available in SGT University Library. He has also contributed in twenty-seven research papers as author or as co-authors with three articles in magazine, three in newspapers and along with several radio talks. He has also participated in International and National Conferences, trainings, workshops, Kisan melas and Kisan Pathshala organized by Haryana Agricultural Department. He has also initiated a program for farmer awareness “ Kisan Udey se Bharat Udey”.

Dr. Sonia Goel is Scientist and Academician working with Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, SGT University, Gurugram. Over the past decade, she has worked in a wide variety of Plant research projects. She has done Ph.D. in Plant Biotechnology while working on Wheat quality breeding topic. She has qualified CSIR-NET in the year 2008 and ARS-NET in 2008. She has published many research papers and on subject ranging from Biotechnology to Agriculture and plant sciences in the National and International Journals with numerous articles in the Journals and Magazines. She has done different training programmes organized by ICAR and also presented her research work in various national/ international conferences/seminars/symposiums, etc. She has also got best poster, oral presentation awards and young scientist awards for her contribution in Plant Biotechnology Research. She has also developed wheat germplasm having superior product quality traits and deposited at National Bureau of Plant Genetic Resources (NBPGR), IARI, Delhi.
