Dr. Kumari Chandrakala is presently working as an Assistant Professor in the department of Veterinary Surgery and Radiology in college of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Kishanganj, BASU, Bihar. She has qualified Bihar Public Service Commission (B.P.S.C) and joined as a Touring Veterinary Officer, worked for the department of Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Resources under Government of Bihar. She has currently a total 26 publications including research articles published in both national and international journals, Clinical Editor of book "Transforming Livestock Sector for Viksit Bharat @ 2047" case report and 6 book chapters, in Veterinary FIRST AID, 01 review articles. She is the Reviewer of International Journal of Life Science and Applied Science and Farmer’s Today (E-Magazine). She has received many awards as leading & progressive veterinary professionals.
Dr. Anjali Kumari is currently serving as an Assistant Professor, Livestock Production and Management at Bihar Agricultural University, Sabour. She brings with her a wealth of experience in Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry, gained through her dedicated service in both academic and field roles. During her tenure with the Department of Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Resources under the Government of Bihar, she has contributed significantly to livestock treatment, management, training to the farmers. She has an impressive academic portfolio with 16 publications, including research articles, book chapters, review articles, and a laboratory manual. She has also achieved Best Oral Presentation Award (3rd place) in International Livestock and Expo 23rd Annual Convention ISAPM-2016. She has received Dr. J. N. Pandey Memorial Award for securing the highest SGPA in Veterinary Physiology for 2013. She is also an active contributor to the scientific community, serving as a reviewer for esteemed journals, such as the Journal of Advances in Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Asian Journal of Research in Agriculture and Forestry, Journal of Experimental Agriculture International, and Journal of Advances in Medicine and Medical Research with her extensive experience and commitment to academic excellence.
Dr. Dhirendra Kumar is presently serving as an Associate Professor in the Department of Animal Genetics and Breeding, Bihar Veterinary College, BASU, Patna. He is the recipient of several prestigious awards, including the Best Ph.D. Thesis Award, Appreciation Awards (2), Distinguished Scientist Award, Excellence in Teaching Award, Young Scientist Awards (2), and the Life Science Leadership Award.He has contributed significantly to academic and scientific events, having served as an Organizing Secretary of one International Conference, Joint Organizing Secretary of one International Conference, and Co-Organizing Secretary of four National Conferences/Symposia. He has been the Principal Investigator of the NBAGR–ICAR Network Project on the Characterization of Poonchi Chicken. He has also served as a Co-Principal Investigator in ICAR Network Projects on the Characterization of Sheep and Goat. In addition, he was the Co-Project Leader of the project titled “Capacity Building/Training of Women Self-Help Group Members from Umeed as Community Paravets.”Dr. Kumar has published more than 65 research and review articles in reputed national and international journals. He has also contributed extensively to the scientific literature through 12 books, popular articles, conference proceedings, short communications, book chapters, manuals, and edited publications.
Dr. Chandrahas, presently working as the Dean, College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Kishanganj, Bihar, since 24 November, 2022. He has obtained B.V.Sc.&A.H. with Gold Medal from Ranchi Veterinary College, Ranchi (1999), M.V.Sc. (LPM) from IVRI, Izatnagar (2001), Ph.D. (LPM) from GADVASU, Ludhiana (2011) and PGDTMA from University of Hyderabad (2018). He served as an Assistant Professor (2002-2014) at GADVASU, Ludhiana and thereafter as Senior Scientist (2014-2017) and Principal Scientist (2017-2022) at ICAR- CARI, Izatnagar. He has authored more than 360 publications including 69 research articles, 17 books, 20 practical manuals, 37 book chapters, 52 popular articles, 05 Technical Bulletin, 30 lead papers, 55 research abstracts, 53 MOUs, etc. Registration of 04 native chicken varieties and 01 patent is in pipeline. He has received 34 awards including Gold Medals, JRF, SRF, ARS, Young Scientist, Best paper, Best poster awards, etc. He has been awarded Fellow National of Animal Production and Management (FNAPM) by Indian Society of Animal Production and Management. He has guided 04 M.V.Sc. and 06 Ph.D. students as a major advisor. He has handled 21 research projects including PI in 10 projects.
Dr. Safeeda Sultana Begum is presently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Veterinary Medicine at College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Bihar Animal Sciences University, Kishanganj, Bihar. Her area of specialization includes Veterinary Medicine, Veterinary Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine and Caprine Diseases with special reference to PPR and Orf. During the tenure of her professional studies, she has received National scholarships like UGC- Maulana Azad National Fellowship (2014) from University Grant Commission (UGC), New Delhi and MOMA Scholarships (2009- 2011) from Ministry of Minority Affairs, India. She has received Young Scientist Award- 2019 by Agricultural Technology Development Society, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh in 2019, and Pashudhan Praharee team has credited her in Krantijyoti Savitribai Phule Woman’s Achiever’s Award in 2024. Till date, Dr. Safeeda has credited 26 research publication both International & National, 12 popular articles and 13 book chapters.
