Mr. Devarshi Ranjan is currently working as a Young Professional-II in ICAR-National Bureau of Fish Genetic Resources, Canal Ring Road, P.O. Dilkusha Marg, Lucknow226002, Uttar Pradesh, India. He completed his Master’s in Aquaculture from College of Fisheries, Dr. Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University, Dholi, Muzaffarpur - 843121, Bihar, India. He graduated in Fisheries Science from the College of Fisheries, Acharya Narendra Deva University of Agriculture and Technology, Kumarganj, Ayodhya-224229, Uttar Pradesh, India. In view of publications, he has published many papers, articles, conference proceedings, book chapters, books in various reputed international and national journals and magazines. He is a reviewer board member of the journal “Chronicle of Aquatic Science” and editorial board member of the journal “Veterinary Today”. He has achieved “Vice-chancellor gold medal” for obtaining second highest marks\OGPA in the discipline of B.F.Sc. (Hons.). He has got “Junior Young Scientist Award-2023” on the occasion of National Seminar on Ecology vs. Economic Development with Special Reference to the Ganga Basin, Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, India, and “Early Career Researcher Award” on the occasion of Teachers’ Day 5th September, 2023 organized by Chronicle of Aquatic Science.
Dr. Deepa Bhatt is currently working as a Young ProfessionalII in ICAR-124: National Surveillance Programme for Aquatic Animal Diseases-Phase II at the Department of Aquatic Environment, College of Fisheries, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana-141004, Punjab, India. She completed her B.F.Sc., M.F.Sc., and Ph.D. in Aquaculture from the College of Fisheries (Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University), Ludhiana-141004, Punjab, India. Regarding her publications, she has published five research papers, three review papers, nine popular articles, eight abstracts, one pamphlet, and one book chapter. She has also attended five national and two international conferences, more than three training sessions, and one workshop. She has been awarded theYoung Scientist Award at the National Seminar on Contemporary Issues in Fisheries and Aquaculture and 10th Annual Session of the Society of Life Sciences held at GBPUAT, Pantnagar, Uttarakhand. Additionally, she has received the Young Women Scientist Award from the Indian Society of Agriculture and Horticulture Research Development. She has been also the recipient of the University Merit Scholarship during her Master’s program and the University Merit Fellowship during her Doctoral degree program. Furthermore, during her undergraduate program, she has been awarded a Certificate of Honour for achieving the highest attendance during the academic years 2012-13 and 2013-14.
Mr. Ashish Sahu is a Research scholar at ICAR-National Bureau of Fish Genetic Resources, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. His area of research interest includes freshwater fish and mollusc taxonomy and diversity, field exploration, DNA barcoding, NGS, and radiography of fish. He obtained his Bachelor of Fisheries Sciences (B.F.Sc.) degree in 2019 from the College of Fisheries, Acharya Narendra Deva University of Agriculture and Technology, Kumarganj, Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. He was honored with the Vice-Chancellor’s Gold Medal in the discipline of B.F.Sc. (Hons.). Subsequently, he earned a post-graduate degree in Master of Fisheries Science (M.F.Sc.) with a specialization in Fisheries Resource Management (FRM) in 2021 from Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies, Cochin, Kerala. Currently, he is pursuing his Ph.D. in the FRM department from KUFOS, Kochi, Kerala, and conducting his research work at NBFGR, Lucknow, UP. He is currently working on the Integrative Taxonomy of fishes, metabarcoding, and Environmental DNA (eDNA) tools under the guidance of Dr. Mahender Singh, Principal Scientist. He has published more than 8 research papers, 18 articles (including popular articles), one book, 9 book chapters, and 4 chapters in training manuals. Additionally, he has presented at 10 national and international conferences.
Dr. Laxmi Prasad is currently working as an Associate Professor (Aquaculture), College of Fisheries, ANDUAT, Kumarganj, Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. He completed his graduation from GBPUAT, Uttarakhand, M.F.Sc. and Ph.D. from ICAR-CIFE, Mumbai. He has published 55 research papers and scientific articles in journals and magazines of national and international repute. He has also published eleven manuals and authored three technical bulletins and two books for fisheries students. At present, he is involved in imparting education to the B.F.Sc., M.F.Sc. and Ph.D. students. Besides teaching he is also involved in extension of fish farming technology through organizing training, radio talks, and delivering lectures in different extension activities. He is an active member of many scientific societies and participated in many seminar, symposium and workshops.
Ms. Priyanka Verma completed her Master’s in Fisheries Resource Management from College of Fisheries, Dr. Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University, Dholi, Muzaffarpur - 843121, Bihar, India. She graduated in Fisheries Science from the College of Fisheries, Etawah, Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur-208002, Uttar Pradesh, India. In view of publications, she has published 2 research papers, more than 3 review papers, more than 4 popular articles, 04 abstracts, more than 08 book chapters, and 2 books. Ms. Priyanka Verma has also attended almost 03 National and 02 International conferences, more than 02 trainings, 01 workshop and 01 symposium.
Ms. Simran Kaur is currently working as a Young Professional – II in Project ICAR-124: National Surveillance Programme for Aquatic Animal Diseases – Phase II” at Department of Aquatic Environment, College of Fisheries, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana-141004, Punjab, India. She holds a post-graduation degree, Master of Fisheries Science, specializing in Aquatic Environment Management and a graduation degree, Bachelor of Fisheries Science, from College of Fisheries, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana-141004, Punjab, India. In view of publications, she has published 07 abstracts, 01 popular article, 01 research paper and 1 book chapter. Ms. Simran Kaur has also attended 02 National Conferences, 01 International Conference, 03 Trainings and 01 Workshop. She has received ‘Best Oral Presentation Award’ at National Conference on ‘Transforming Rural Poverty to Prosperity through Sustainable Fisheries’ hosted by College of Fisheries, Kishanganj, Bihar, India. She has been also awarded with ‘University Gold Medal’ for obtaining highest OCPA in graduation degree. She has been also a recipient of University Merit Scholarship during her graduation and post-graduation degree.
