Poultry farming encompasses a variety of birds, such as quail, emu, guinea fowl, turkeys, and ducks excluding commercial egg and broiler chicken production. Small farms are increasingly exploring diversified poultry systems for additional income. Ducks account for about 7% of poultry, mainly found in coastal regions like West Bengal, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Assam, Jammu & Kashmir, and Tripura. Native ducks are more common than foreign breeds, despite lower performance levels, indicating the nascent stage of duck farming. Quail farming is a cost-effective practice gaining popularity. Guinea fowl, turkey, and emu farming are relatively new ventures. That comprehensive manual "Diversified Poultry Farming: An Alternative of Traditional Poultry Farming" provides valuable insights into the world of alternative poultry farming. Covering everything from breed selection to agricultural practices, this book delves into the production of quail, emu, guinea fowl, turkey, and duck. It details the characteristics of various breeds, their dietary requirements, and health considerations. The book also delves into essential aspects, such as housing, breeding, and reproduction to enhance productivity. Additionally, it discusses effective management strategies, including disease prevention and control measures, to maintain high-quality farms. Whether you are a student, novice, or experienced farmer, this book serves as a valuable resource for addressing production and management challenges. "Diversified Poultry Farming: An Alternative of Traditional Poultry Farming" equips you with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in the industry, whether you are planning to start a farm or improve an existing one
