Dr. Parvaiz Reshi is presently working as an Associate Professor cum Senior Scientist in the Division of Animal Nutrition, SKUAST-Kashmir, Srinagar. He has 14 years of Teaching, Research and Extension experience in the field of Animal Science. He has worked as Subject Matter Specialist (Animal Science) at KVK-Ganderbal and KVK-Srinagar. He has also served as an Asst. Professor, Animal Nutrition at MJF College of Veterinary Sciences, Jaipur (Raj.), Khalsa College of Veterinary Sciences, Amritsar (Punjab), College of Veterinary Sciences, Predator (Andhra Pradesh) and Assistant Professor cum Junior Scientist (Animal Nutrition) at Mountain Livestock Research Institute-Manasbal. His main contribution is the formulation of Region Specific Mineral Mixtures for Livestock and its popularization. He is also credited for having developed Innovative. Horti-Poultry Model for doubling farmers income. He has successfully operated various Research Projects funded by ICAR, DBT and RKVY. He has also successfully handled many internally funded projects. He has guided many Research Scholars as major advisor in the discipline of Animal Nutrition. He has 78 publications comprising of Research articles, booklet, book chapters, training manuals, practical manuals, review articles and magazine articles of national and international repute in his credit. He has received several awards for his presentations in different conferences, workshops and symposiums as well as Independence Excellence Award by the UT Government for his meritorious public service. Dr Reshi is the Founder of Kashvet Innovations Private Limited, a successful start-up of SKUAST-Kashmir involved in formulation, manufacture and marketing of region specific feed and feed supplements for livestock.
Dr. Gowher Gull began his academic career at SKUAST-Kashmir as an Assistant Professor and Junior Scientist in 2010. With 14 years of teaching and research experience in Animal Nutrition, Dr. Sheikh is currently serving as an Associate Professor at the Mountain Livestock Research Institute, SKUAST-K. He has mentored numerous Ph.D. and M.V.Sc. students in the field of Animal Nutrition, with his research focusing on feed technology, non-conventional feeds, and dairy nutrition. Dr. Sheikh has around 125 publications, including books, book chapters, teaching materials, and laboratory manuals in his credit. He has played a significant role in four externally funded projects and has received several awards for his presentations at national and international conferences. Additionally, he is a Director of Kashvet Innovation Pvt. Ltd., a highly successful startup of SKUAST-K, specializing in the synthesis of feed and feed supplements for animals.
Dr. Abdul Majeed Ganai is presently working as a Head, Division of Animal Nutrition and Mountain Research Centre for Sheep & Goat, SKUAST-Kashmir. Dr Ganai joined as an Assistant Professor, Division of Animal Nutrition, SKUAST-K in 2001, elevated to Associate Professor-cum-Senior Scientist in 2007 and as a Professor-cum-Chief Scientist in 2013. His main contribution is formulation of area specific mineral mixtures for ruminants, micronutrient utilisation in livestock and is first to introduce and popularise complete feed block and UMMB technology in Kashmir Valley and Ladakh. He significantly contributed on mineral analysis of feed/fodders and livestock of Kashmir valley and improvement of poor quality crop residues. He led many externally funded and Institutional research projects as a Principal Investigator and Co-investigator. He has guided 6 M.V.Sc., 8 Ph.D. Students as a Major Advisor and Co-advisor of 38 Research scholars. He has 03 books, 130 Research publications, 14 Review articles, 11 popular articles and 10 Teaching manuals, 03 compendia to his credit. Dr Ganai is a Fellow of Animal Nutrition Society of India, and Fellow of Animal Nutrition Association.
Dr. Haider Ali is currently working as a Professor cum Chief Scientist in the Division of Animal Nutrition, SKUAST-Kashmir, Srinagar. He has 20 years of Teaching and Research experience in the field of Animal Nutrition. He has also worked as a Senior Scientist and Incharge, Mountain Research Centre for Sheep and Goat and actively contributed in the development of creep ration and low-cost sheep ration using unconventional feed resources. He has successfully operated Research Projects funded by ICAR, DBT and RKVY as PI and Co-PI. He has also successfully handled many internally funded projects. He has guided many M.V.Sc. and Ph.D. students as a major advisor in the discipline of Animal Nutrition. He has 51 Research publications as well as many booklet, book chapters, training manuals, practical manuals, review articles and magazine articles of national and international repute in his credit. He is also lifetime member of many scientific society.
