“Transformative Innovations in Fisheries and Aquaculture: Towards a Sustainable Future” explores modern technologies, scientific advancements, and sustainable strategies shaping global fisheries and aquaculture. Integrating insights from biotechnology, environmental science, genetics, and resource management, the book addresses challenges of sustainability, productivity, and conservation. Key themes include sensor-based monitoring, bioenergy from aquaculture waste, feed formulation, fish-borne zoonoses, and ecosystem-based management. It further examines carbon sequestration, nutrient cycling, biodiversity conservation, genetic identification, and immune mechanisms in aquatic species. Highlighting innovative and eco-friendly practices, it emphasizes reducing environmental impacts while enhancing efficiency. The book also underscores the role of Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) in fisheries education and capacity building. Designed for researchers, academicians, policy-makers, and professionals, this volume offers valuable insights to foster sustainable aquaculture, ecological balance, and food security in the blue economy.
