This book is specifically designed to meet the requirements of the new Veterinary Council of India (VCI) curriculum for both undergraduate (BVSC & AH) and post-graduate veterinary students. Currently, no single resource comprehensively covers the syllabus for both levels; this book fills that gap by embedding every essential topic into seven well-structured units. Each unit consists of multiple chapters featuring detailed questions and answers tailored to reflect actual examination patterns. Beyond academic coursework, this book is an invaluable resource for candidates preparing for competitive exams, including Civil Services, State Veterinary Services, ARS, JRF, SRF, and NET. Focused on the objective-type questions common in these exams, it serves as a definitive guide for students aiming for excellence in their professional and competitive careers.

Prof. (Dr.) Bipin Kumar has been a dedicated educator and researcher in the Department of Veterinary Medicine at Bihar Veterinary College (Bihar Animal Sciences University), Patna, Since 2007. With nearly two decades of academic experience, Dr. Kumar has mentored numerous post-graduate and doctoral students and led several university and externally funded research projects. As a prolific writer, he has authored 52 research and review articles, along with various book chapters and popular articles. His expertise extends internationally; he received specialized training in Animal Disaster Management in Bangkok (Thailand) and has since trained veterinarians in Myanmar. Furthermore, he has been a committed associate of World Animal Protection (formerly WSPA) since 2008. Recognising a critical gap in available study materials, Dr. Kumar has leveraged his extensive academic and field experience to create this comprehensive guide, specifically designed to help students navigate both university curricula and high-stakes competitive examinations.
