It covers important diseases, physiological disorders, and insect pests of solanaceous vegetables. Each disease entry features diagnostic symptoms with photographs, the associated pathogen, predisposing factors, and management strategies, while the insect pests section includes identification, nature of damage, biology, and management. This resource will assist students, extension workers, and farmers in selecting appropriate pesticides to control diseases and pests below economic injury levels.
Dr. Babli, Ph.D., from the Department of Plant Pathology at Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya, Gwalior, MP, India, completed her post-graduation in Plant Pathology at Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya, Jabalpur, MP, India and her graduation from RAK CoA, RVSKVV, Gwalior, MP, India. She has qualified ASRB ICAR NET in 2023 and received awards in the discipline of Plant Pathology from various professional societies and institutes. Dr. Babli has contributed numerous research papers, books, manuals, book chapters, technical Bulletin and popular articles, and has presented her research at national and international scientific forums, with several notable publications to her credit.
