In the present book, the author depicted detailed information on qualities of monogastric nutrition, digestion absorption and metabolism of all nutrients including vitamins and minerals production. Use of organic acids, enzymes and other feed additives in swine nutrition with the latest information on the antinutritional factors present in various feedstuffs that commonly used in swine diets are also presented under this nutrition chapters. Status of intestinal barrier function at the time of weaning piglets is presented in a detailed way as weaning is the most stressful condition for the young ones. Diet formulation for the pigs along with different feeding programmes are presented here. A note on the use of herbs and herbal products are also informed in this book. Use of dietary fibre among pig rations along with the bioavailability of nutrients for production of pigs are also given here. Use of liquid feed supplements along with cost economics in rearing pigs are given in this book for the use to academicians, students, and other researchers are given here. The author wishes to thank all academicians, students, and other scientists for honouring his other earlier 2 books: Essentials of Animal Nutrition and Feed Additives & Feed Technology in Livestock Nutrition published and would like to express his thought that this present book will be useful and encouraging to proceed further.
The author was born on 29 August, 1967 and graduated from College of Veterinary Science, Tirupati in 1989, completed his post-graduation in the Discipline of Feed and Fodder Technology in the year 1991.
