Dr. Deepak Kumar is presently serving as an Associate Professor in the Department of Veterinary Pathology, Bihar Veterinary College, Patna. With over a decade of dedicated experience in teaching, research, extension and diagnostic pathology, he has contributed significantly to veterinary science through numerous research papers, review articles, book chapters and case reports published in reputed national and international journals. He has also received Best Teacher Award in 2023-24 in Bihar Veterinary College, Bihar Animal Sciences University Patna. He has successfully supervised several post-graduate (M.V.Sc.) students and one Ph.D. scholar, guiding research in the areas of cytopathology (FNAC), histopathology and postmortem diagnostics. His professional interests also include developing innovative and student-oriented teaching approaches that connect theoretical concepts with their practical diagnostic relevance. Dr. Kumar has been instrumental in the conception and development of this book with the aim of providing a concise, question–answer-based learning resource that simplifies complex pathological principles for quick comprehension and effective revision. His unwavering commitment to academic excellence and mentorship continues to inspire students, researchers and colleagues alike.

Dr. Vishal Kumar Sinha is presently pursuing his Master of Veterinary Science (M.V.Sc.) in Veterinary Pathology at Bihar Veterinary College, Patna. He completed his Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc. & A.H.) from the Bihar Veterinary College with First Division establishing a strong academic foundation early in his career. He received Best Poster Presentation Award in IAVPCON’25 held at Ranchi Veterinary College, BAU, Ranchi. His academic and research interests include diagnostic pathology, cytology, postmortem examination and histopathological interpretation focusing on the correlation of gross and microscopic lesions for accurate disease diagnosis.
He has authored several book chapters, case reports and research articles in reputed national and international journals reflecting his growing contribution to Veterinary Science. Actively engaged in diagnostic and research activities, he has gained extensive practical experience in FNAC, histopathology and postmortem diagnostics. As a Co-author of this book, Dr. Sinha has contributed significantly to the conceptualization, organization and question–answer formatting of content making the subject of Veterinary Pathology concise, logical and student-friendly. His dedication, analytical mindset and passion for academic excellence represent the promise of a new generation of veterinary pathologists.
