The book “Nutritional Strategies for Poultry & Livestock Production” is a comprehensive compilation and an enduring repository of knowledge contributed by eminent experts from across the globe. It represents a remarkable confluence of scientific expertise, industry insights, and innovative research, addressing the most pressing challenges and emerging advancements in animal nutrition and sustainable livestock management. Special attention has been given to both poultry and livestock production systems, highlighting species-specific nutritional interventions and sustainable management practices aimed at enhancing productivity, profitability and environmental stewardship. The chapters encompass diverse topics, beginning with “Precision Feeding as a Tool for Enhanced Productivity”, emphasizing targeted nutrition for optimized feed efficiency. “Nutritional Strategies to Reduce Greenhouse Gas Emissions” highlights the role of nutrition in mitigating environmental impact, while the “Economic Evaluation of Nutritional Interventions” presents cost-effective approaches to improve production outcomes. The concept of “Rumen Manipulation for Improved Efficiency in Ruminants” underscores microbial interventions for enhanced digestion and productivity. The growing trend of “Organic and Free-Range Animal Production” is examined through a nutritional lens, while “Nutritional Management for High Production in Dairy Cattle” emphasizes performance-oriented feeding. Understanding “Nutritional Requirements for Stress Management in Livestock” is crucial in addressing challenges arising from environmental, physiological, and metabolic stressors. The section on “Nutritional Impact on Animal Health and Welfare” establishes the integral relationship between diet and well-being. Equally significant is the chapter on “Training and Capacity Building in Sustainable Animal Production”, which emphasizes the role of education, skill enhancement, and knowledge dissemination in achieving lasting improvements in productivity and sustainability across the animal production sector. Sustainability remains a central theme throughout the book, with insights into “Alternative Feed Resources for Sustainable Animal Production” and “Poultry Waste Management for an Eco-friendly Environment”, ensuring long-term ecological balance. Technological innovations, such as “Supplementation of Nano-Minerals in Poultry Ration” open new avenues in trace mineral nutrition and bioavailability. The “Role of Nutrition in Sustainable Livestock Farming” reinforces the importance of balanced feeding for ecological and economic resilience, while “Nutritional Strategies for Improved Reproductive Performance” and “Nutritional Approaches to Reduce Waste and Pollution” discuss resource optimization and reproductive efficiency. The “Eco-Protein Revolution—Black Soldier Fly (BSF) Larva Meal for Livestock, Poultry and Aquaculture” introduces a sustainable, high-quality alternative protein source for the future of animal nutrition. The chapter on “Strategies for Improving Meat Quality and Growth Performance” offers insights into enhancing carcass yield, quality, and overall efficiency in animal production. The inclusion of “A New Diagnostic Tool – Forensic Feed Science – to Better the Feed Processing Industry” highlights the importance of feed traceability, quality assurance, and innovation in the feed sector. This compilation is designed to inspire further research, innovation, and practical implementation in animal nutrition. It will serve as a valuable reference for academicians, researchers, students, and industry professionals seeking sustainable solutions in poultry and livestock production.
