Dr. Aninda Chakraborty is an Assistant Professor in Genetics and Plant Breeding and Seed Science and Technology, at the MS Swaminathan School of Agriculture, Centurion University of Technology & Management, Gajapati, Odisha. He earned his Master of Science in Seed Science and Technology from Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya, Nadia, in 2018, subsequently completing his Ph.D. in the same discipline in 2022. Since then, he has contributed to academia as an Assistant Professor, demonstrating a robust commitment to advancing research and pedagogy in Seed Science and Technology. Dr. Chakraborty has authored numerous scholarly articles and literature reviews in esteemed national and international peer-reviewed journals. He is a lifetime member of the Crop and Weed Science Society at BCKV and has actively engaged in various international and national seminars, conferences, faculty development initiatives, and specialized training programs. His work reflects a profound dedication to the fields of agricultural science, underpinned by significant contributions through his publications, accolades, and professional engagements. Dr. Chakraborty’s endeavours exemplify his commitment to enhancing agricultural sciences through rigorous research, effective teaching, and meaningful community involvement.

Dr. DJMSNK Sri Veda is an accomplished academic with a strong foundation in Seed Science and Technology. Having completed undergraduate studies (2012-2016) at Acharya NGRanga Agricultural University, Naira, Andhra Pradesh and post-graduate (2016-2018) and Ph.D. (2018-2023) from Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya, West Bengal. Dr. Veda is now serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Genetics and Plant Breeding & Seed Science and Technology at Centurion University of Technology and Management, Paralakhemundi, Odisha. With expertise in seed priming, reproductive phenology, and seed development pattern studies, Dr. Veda has contributed significantly to the field through authorship of numerous articles and literature reviews in esteemed national and international journals, book chapters, and patents. He has actively engaged in various international and national seminars, conferences, faculty development programs, and specialized training programs. A member of the Crop and Weed Science Society at BCKV, Dr. Veda continues to make strides in seed science research and innovation.  

Dr. Jui Ray is currently an Assistant Professor at the M S Swaminathan School of Agriculture, Centurion University of Technology and Management, Paralakhemundi, Odisha, India. She completed her B.Sc. (Ag), M.Sc. (Ag), and Ph.D. in Seed Science and Technology from Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya, West Bengal. Dr Ray has successfully cleared the ICAR-NET exams in both 2019 and 2021, showcasing her academic excellence and expertise. Her research interests focus on seed priming, biochemical analysis, and quality seed production, specifically in tomato, rice, and hybrid maize. Dr. Ray has made significant contributions to the field through her research papers on seed priming, which aim to improve seed germination and stress tolerance. Her work on biochemical analysis helps uncover the mechanisms that drive seed quality and productivity, while her research in quality seed production focuses on enhancing crop yields and sustainability. In addition to her experimental research, Dr. Ray has authored several review papers that provide comprehensive insights into recent advancements in seed science. Her scholarly profile is further enriched by her lifetime membership in the Crop and Weed Science Society at BCKV. She is actively engaged in a wide range of academic and professional activities, having participated in numerous national and international seminars, conferences, Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs), trainings, and workshops. Dr. Ray’s dedication to research and academic growth is reflected in her contributions to both the scientific community and the practical application of seed science. Her involvement in this book demonstrates her commitment to advancing the understanding of seed quality traits and their improvement.

Dr. Sanghamitra Rout is an Assistant Professor of Genetics and Plant Breeding at Centurion University of Technology and Management, Paralakhemundi, Odisha, India. She earned her M.Sc. in Genetics and Plant Breeding from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, in 2017, followed by her Ph.D. from Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya, Pundibari, Cooch Behar, West Bengal in 2021. Since then, she has been serving as an Assistant Professor at Centurion University, with over 3 years of experience. Dr. Rout has made substantial contributions to teaching, research, and extension activities in agriculture. Her impressive body of work includes numerous research papers published in esteemed national and international peer-reviewed journals, as well as book chapters. She was granted a patent in 2024. Additionally, Dr. Rout is a reviewer for several respected journals and a lifetime member of the Indian Society of Plant Breeders (ISPB). She has actively participated in numerous national and international seminars, conferences, and faculty development programs and has received award from recognized institutions.
