In agriculture, traditionally reliant on manual labour, modern technology is unlocking new possibilities. Soft robotic grippers for crop harvesting offer precision and gentleness, surpassing conventional machinery. UAV-borne hyperspectral imaging for saline soil identification revolutionizes soil management, while digital twins in agricultural machinery optimize performance and reduce downtime. Technological advances are also re-shaping food preservation and resource management. Covalent organic frameworks (COFs) extend food shelf life while ensuring safety. Cold press processing of oilseeds promotes healthier and sustainable oil extraction methods. Ground penetrating radar (GPR) for groundwater level estimation provides crucial insights for water management, especially in drought-prone areas. Mobile and digital innovations enable precise f ield management. Deep learning-based mobile apps for pest and disease detection empower farmers to protect crops proactively. Variable rate technology for site specific nutrient management enhances yields and minimizes waste. Optimized deep learning algorithms for embedded systems democratize advanced analytics, making hi-tech solutions accessible. In the food industry, non-conventional heat transfer fluids (NCHTFs) improve processing efficiency, while magnetic field-based preservation techniques ensure food quality without chemicals. In water management, the Water Accounting Plus Framework (WA+) aids in sustainable resource assessment. Advanced technologies enhance agricultural and environmental research. The SWAT model helps estimate runoff in the Upper Nile Basin, addressing water flows and climate change impacts. Machine learning algorithms for evapotranspiration estimation refine irrigation management, conserving resources. Agricultural ergonomics is evolving with AI-enabled posture assessment, enhancing worker productivity and safety. This integration of artificial intelligence supports crop production and the well-being of industry workers. This book highlights these innovations, offering a comprehensive guide for researchers, developers, and policy-makers. Embracing these technologies positions nations as leaders in sustainable, technology-driven agriculture, ensuring productivity and resilience against global challenges
