Dr. Sudhi Ranjan Garg is Professor and ex-Head of Department of Veterinary Public Health and Epidemiology in the College of Veterinary Sciences, Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences at Hisar (India). After graduating in Veterinary Sciences, the Indian Council of Agricultural Research awarded him Junior Research Fellowship to pursue postgraduate studies. Dr. Garg completed Master of Veterinary Sciences in the year 1982. Later, he got Russian Government Scholarship and obtained Ph.D. from the prestigious Kovalenko All-Russia Institute of Experimental Veterinary Medicine, Moscow in the year 1991. His professional accomplishments led to his recognition as Fellow of the Indian Association of Veterinary Public Health Specialists. Dr. Garg has a vast experience of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and research. He has guided many postgraduate students for the award of Master’s and Ph.D. degrees. Dr. Garg has numerous scientific papers and books to his credit. His books include ‘Environmental Security: Human and Animal Health’, ‘Understanding Rabies and its Prevention’, ‘Interdisciplinary Approach for Tuberculosis Control’, and ‘Handbook of Quality Control of Dairy and Meat Products’. Dr. Garg is associated with several academic, professional and administrative bodies. He is a subject matter specialist in several national panels and examiner in many universities. Dr. Garg has widely traveled in India and abroad and has presented papers in many national and international scientific conferences, workshops and trainings.
