Looking into the competitive era for youngsters during the forthcoming years this book has been compiled and is useful for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. The physiological terms having multiple definitions have been included. The physiological aspects of crops, and definitions covering molecular basis of physiological terms have been included in a simple language. Considering the inclusion of biotechnology and plant breeding aspects in the discipline of plant physiology the related terminology has been inserted.

Dr. A.S. Gontia, Professor, Department of Plant Physiology, JNKVV, Jabalpur was born on 29th April 1957. He has completed his graduation from the University of Jabalpur during 1976 and obtained the M.Sc. (Ag.) degree in Agricultural Botany during 1979. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in Botany from the APS University Rewa in the year 1990.
