Present book may be expected to stimulate the interest in the field of agriculture and to think for reshaping the agriculture technology among scientist, researchers, users, curators, student and all those who are engaged and interested really to promote sustainable agriculture intensification for the benefit of human kind and next generation.

Dr. Birendra Prasad, Senior Research Officer (Plant Breeding), GBPUA&T, Hill Campus, Ranichauri, Uttarakhand and has over eight year scientific experience along with handling two AICRP projects on Under Utilized Crops and Small Millets. Eleven courses have been taught by him and guided more than twenty students and more than 150 publications to his credit. Dr. Prasad has also edited two books related to the field of Agriculture. He is the recipient of JRF by the ICAR as second rank and qualifies four times NET. He has been also recognized by the professional societies and recipient of ‘Outstanding Professional Award’ 2010 in field of agriculture and ‘Founder Fellow’ by the Indian Society of Hill Agriculture in the year 2011.

Dr. Sunil Kumar, presently working as a capacity of Assistant Professor (Animal Science), College of Forestry and Hill Agriculture, GBPUA&T, Hill Campus, Ranichauri, Uttarakhand and has over six year scientific experience along with handling three externally funded projects. Five courses have been taught by him and more than 100 publications to his credit. He has also edited seven books. Dr Kumar has the recipient of a number of prestigious awards namely ‘Young Scientist Award’ conferred by the Indian society of Hill Agriculture, SARC Gold Medal Award-2011 by Scientific and Applied Research Center, Meerut and Young Scientist Associate Award-2011 by the Society for Recent Development in Agriculture.
