This edition also gives a thorough appraisal of parasitic diseases prevalent in bovines in India such as fasciolosis, trypanosomosis and theileriosis. In addition, this also includes an extensive overview on myiasis. Recent updates on epidemiology, diagnosis, prevention and control of various parasitic diseases have also been included. Dr. R. Katoch was born in September, 1963 at Madras. He received his BVSc&AH degree from Sukhadia University, Bikaner in 1988, M.V.Sc from IVRI in 1990 and PhD in Veterinary Parasitology from CSAUA&T, Kanpur in 1997. Presently he is working as Professor & Head, Division of Veterinary Parasitology, SKUAST, Jammu. He has more than 22 years of experience in teaching and research. His major research interest includes study of parasites of zoonotic importance. He has published 96 research papers in national and international journals. He is the recipient of Dr. J.P. Dubey Young Scientist award in 1997 and S.M. Ismail oration award in 2011.

Dr. R. Godara was born on January 26, 1972. He received his BVSc&AH degree in 1999 and MVSc (Veterinary Parasitology) in 2001 from RAU, Bikaner. Presently, he is working as Assistant Professor in the Division of Veterinary Parasitology at SKUASTJammu. He has published 55 research papers and 10 popular articles in national and international journals.

Dr. Anish Yadav was born on February 25, 1975. He earned his B.V.Sc & AH and M.V.Sc from CCS, HAU, Hisar and PhD (Veterinary Parasitology) from SKUAST-Jammu. Presently he is working as Associate Professor in the Division of Veterinary Parasitology at SKUAST-Jammu. He has received Dr. J.P. Dubey Young Scientist Award (By IAAVP) in 2010. He has published 48 research papers, several abstracts and popular articles. His research interests are molecular and immunological diagnosis of zoonotic diseases and myiasis. He has undergone international training related to warble fly infestation in animals in Universitry of Santiago de Compostella in Spain.
