The present ''Practical Manual of Systematic Veterinary Virology'' has been designed in accordance with the recommendations of New VCI Course outline for B.V.Sc. & A.H graduates. Each exercise has been carefully updated and expanded to include new practical which are relevant from medical and veterinary point of view. Of these experiments we have attempted to present the material that we believe will help the students to gain a clear understanding of the significance of the individual practical. Our knowledge of Virology is constantly growing and by building a good foundation of the subject from the very beginning will prove to be helpful to students in understanding the advances in the near future.

Dr. (Mrs.) Varsha Sharma Ph.D , is at present Professor and Head Veterinary Microbiology, College of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, Jabalpur (M.P.) She has served as veterinary assistant surgeon in M.P. State Services for 4years and 19 years experience in teaching , research and extension. Dr. Sharma has perused her B,V.Sc.&A.H. and M.V.Sc.& AH in Veterinary Microbiology fromCollege of Veterinary Science and A.H., JNKVV ,Jabalpur She has guided several students in Microbiology from Veterinary and general stream of various universities. She has published about 50 research article, about 100 abstractsand 25 popular articles Dr. (Mrs.) Anju Nayak, Ph.D , is at present Associate professor, Veterinary Microbiology, College of Veterinary science and Animal Husbandry, Jabalpur (M.P.) She has served as veterinary assistant surgeon in M.P. State Services for 14 years reflecting vast experience of field problems.

Dr. Nayak has a bright academic record for which she secured University gold medal for B.V.Sc. & A.H. from I.G.K.V.V., Raipur. She perused her M.V.Sc. in Veterinary Immunology from I.V.R.I. Izatnagar Bareilly (U.P.). She has published about 20 research articles.

Dr. NeerajShrivastava is working in the capacity of Assistant Professor in the Department of Veterinary Microbiology, Veterinary College, Rewa. He has done his Masters in Veterinary Virology from IVRI, Bareilly. He holds 6 years' experience in teaching and research and 8 years' experience as Veterinary Officer. He has received National and International awards and fellowships and has a number of research and popular articles to his credit.

Dr. (Mrs.) JoyceeJogi, , is at present working as Assistant professor, Veterinary Microbiology, College of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, Jabalpur (M.P.) She has served as Veterinary Assistant Surgeon in M.P. State Services for 5 years and has a teaching and research experience of about 3 years. She has done her B.V.Sc. &M.V.Sc. from College of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, Anjora ,I.G.K.V.V. Raipur. (C.G.). She has received a National award and has a number of research and popular articles to her credit.

Dr. (Mrs.) Poonam Shakya M.V.Sc. & A.H. is at present Assistant Professor Veterinary Microbiology, College of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, Jabalpur (M.P.). She has served as veterinary assistant surgeon in M.P. State Govt. for 4 years . She persued her B,V.Sc.& A.H. and M.V.Sc.& A.H. in Veterinary Microbiology from College of Veterinary Science and A.H., JNKVV ,Mhow. She has secured University Gold Medal for M.V.Sc.& A.H. from JNKVV Jabalpur and has a number of research and popular articles to her credit.
