Dr. Sangappa V. Patil, Professor of Agronomy and Head, Department of Natural Resource Management, College of Horticulture, Sirsi was born on 01.06.1969 in Gulbarga District, Karnataka, India. He obtained his B.Sc.(Agri.) degree from College of Agriculture, Raichur during the year 1991, M.Sc. (Agri) in Agronomy from UAS, Dharwad during the year 1994 and Ph.D in Agronomy from UAS, Dharwad during the year 2011 with good academic records. He has undergone International training on Potato for a period of 10 weeks in IAC, Wageningen, Netherland during the year 2003. He has an experience for over 20 years in teaching, research and extension. He has to his credit about 45 scientific full length papers published in National and International Journals as author/co-author, about 25 papers presented in National and International Symposium as author/co-author and 5 books. Eleven technologies have been released as co-principal investigator in package of practice book of UAS Bangalore and UHS Bagalkot. He has been awarded as Best Farm Superintendent for the year 2004 by Hon’ble Governor Shri T. N. Chaturvedi, Govt. of Karnataka during 39th convocation of UAS Bangalore held on 21st March 2005, Fellow of Hind Agri-Horti Society Muzaffarnagar during the year 2011 and Best Agriculture Scientist 2014 by Lingaraja Vividhoddeshagala Samsthe, Bharati Nagar, Dharwad, Karnataka.
Dr. G.R.Rajakumar, Assistant Professor of Soil Science, Department of Natural Resource Management, College of Forestry, Sirsi was born on 28.05.1968 in Chitradurga District, Karnataka, India. He obtained his B.Sc.(Agri.) degree from College of Agriculture, Raichur during the year 1991, M.Sc. (Agri) in Soil Science & Agricultural Chemistry from UAS, Dharwad during the year 1994 and Ph.D in Soil Science & Agricultural Chemistry from UAS, Dharwad during the year 2000 with good academic records. He has undergone National training on Soil Health Management for 21 days in JNKVV, Jabalpur during the year 2014. He has an experience for over 6 years in teaching (College), 6 years in research (ARS/College) and 8 years in extension (KVK). He has published 8 scientific full length papers in National and International Journals as author/co-author, about 5 papers presented in Symposium as author/co-author, 2 books, 20 popular articles and 3 technologies released as co-principal investigator in package of practice book of UAS Dharwad.
