Fisheries Information System for India introduces a newly emerging area of Information and Communication Technology application that will bring revolutionary changes in the sphere of research, education and extension in fisheries sector of India. Dr. M Jayapradeep: has MA in Political Science, MLISc and MPhil in Library and Information Science. Awarded PhD for his work on Fisheries Informatics from Karpagam University in 2014. He served Indian Air Force, Biotechnology Information Centre (Government of India), Kerala Agricultural University, Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies, and is presently Librarian, SVN College of Engineering, Mavelikkara, Kerala. Has long experience in guiding research students and teachers. His areas of interests are informatics and knowledge management. Published/presented numerous research papers in journals/conferences. Editorial board member of national and international journals in LIS. Is member of Advisory of the 'Informatics Studies' an International Scholarly Journal.
