The detailed procedures applicable for registration of patent, copyrights, industrial designs, geographical indications and trademarks. International treaties in respect of IPRs, biodiversity Act and commercialization of IPRs are discussed in lucid manner.
Dr. Pidigam Saidaiah , Ph.D., Assistant Professor , Department of Genetics and Plant Breeding , Sri Konda Laxman Telangana State Horticultural University has more than 10 years of teaching and research experience. He had publication of three text books on horticulture and seed technology, one reference book on tomato, two monographs and seven laboratory manuals of his credit. He has published more than 80 research articles in high impact national and international journals. Also , had credit of published more than 300 popular articles including editorial articles in leading agricultural newspapers and magazines . He has guided more than 11 M.Sc. students as Chairman and 6 member as Ph.D. students . As a Principal Investigator for Research projects of Department of Biotechnology (DBT) and three RKVY projects , focussed on improvement of vegetable varieties using marker assisted selection . Three varieties , one each in cluster bean , coriander and yardlong been are also developed by him. He has dealt 16 courses of genetics , plant breeding , biotechnology, seed technology and intellectual property rights applications in horticulture sector.
Dr. K. Ravinder Reddy , Ph.D., Professor in the Department of Vegetable Science is currently working as Registrar of Sri Konda Laxman Telangana State Horticultural University . He has published more than 50 research articles in national and international ly reputed journals , more than 200 popular articles, 50 radio talks and has credit of releasing 10 varieties of vegetables . As a professor , he has taught various courses of vegetables crops for PG, Ph.D. and undergraduate students. He taught several courses having applications of intellectual property rights into vegetable crops. Dr. Reddy guided 8 Ph.D. Students , 15 M.Sc. Students in Vegetables Science.
