Veterinary Parasitology is one of the most important disciplines in the curriculum of Undergraduate and Post-graduate degree courses in Veterinary Science. Parasites are well known for their complicated biology, lifecycle patterns, morphological characteristics, host preferences, disease transmission, pathologic effects and economic losses. This book is based on the revised MSVE 2016 syllabus and presents the entire syllabus of Veterinary Parasitology in a comprehensive and illustrated manner. It covers extensively the portions from General Veterinary Parasitology, Veterinary Helminthology, Veterinary Entomology and Acarology, Veterinary Protozoology and Laboratory techniques related to Veterinary Parasitology. Details of different endo and ectoparasites right from basics to advances in diagnosis and latest trends in control and prevention are included. Complicated life cycle patterns of parasites are illustrated in flow charts to facilitate easy retention of information. The book is prepared with prime focus on undergraduate and post-graduate students of Veterinary Science studying Veterinary Parasitology. A special feature of this book is the depiction of salient points and interesting facts about parasites in the form of text boxes, “Do you know?”, “Infobits”, “Titbits”, “Key facts”, “Be amazed”, “More to know” and “Points to remember” to create awareness and kindle interest amongst learners in the subject.
