The overall goal of this book is to provide readers with fundamental understanding of all the essential, necessary plant nutrients, as well as management techniques for managing problematic soils for sustainable agriculture. Graduate and post-graduate agricultural and horticultural science students will find the contents helpful for their academic, research and knowledge expansion. The idea that “Soil is the soul of life on planet” and “Fertility is the spirit of soil for sustaining crop output” were taken into consideration while writing this book. This book contains all the information that we need to maintain soil fertility for sustainable agriculture. It also provides recommendations for and methods of applying manures and fertilisers to support agricultural productivity. This book helps to grasp about soils and plant nutrients in such a way that the fundamental concepts of soil fertility are presented in a clear and logical manner. Overall, this book will be very helpful to individuals who are interested in maintaining and sustaining soil health.
