The art and science of cultivating the land, growing crops, and raising livestock is known as agriculture. It involves preparing plant and animal items for human consumption and distributing them to marketplaces. The future generation has the duty to advance agriculture to new heights since it is the foundation of our civilization and attracts a lot of attention to a new revolution of its kind. The Covid-19 pandemic brought to mind Jawaharlal Nehru’s proverb, “Everything can wait but not agriculture.” The main topics covered in this book are mycology, bacteriology and virology. Mr. Pasumarthi Venkata Dinesh Kumar, presently pursuing his Ph.D.from UAS, Bangalore in Department of Plant Pathology. He did his schooling in Navodaya Model School, Palakonda. He finished his intermediate education in Sri Chaitanya educational institutions. He has passed B.Sc. (Ag) with distinction in 2019. He got JRF 7th rank in All India Plant Sciences Entrance conducted by ICAR. He did his Master’s in Division of Plant Pathology from ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute. He appeared for SRF exam in Plant Pathology and he got 3rdRank. He has cleared ARS-NET and CSIR-NET.
Ms. Ramya Akurathi completed herM.Sc. (Ag)from (ANGRAU) Agricultural College, Bapatla in Department of Plant Pathology in 2023. She has passed B.Sc. (Ag) from (ANGRAU) SBVR Agricultural College,Badvel. She believes that sharing knowledge is a charity of knowledge that constitutes the ways of a beautiful life.
Dr. Emmadi Venu has completed his Ph.D. from Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi in the division of Plant Pathology. He has completed his graduation from PJTSAU, Hyderabad. He completed his M.Sc. from BCKV, Mohanpur. He has qualified SRF-2019 and also ICAR-NET. He has published research articles in international journals and also got best oral presentation in VIROCON-2022 held in Kashmir. He received 2nd prize in APS-IPSTRAVEL AWARD forPh.D. students in symposiumentitled “Pathogen Profile and Pathogenesis in Relation to Crop Disease Management” conducted by Indian Phytopathological Society. He presented his research achievements in the APS-IPS Travel Grant Contest during IPS Platinum Jubilee Conference entitled ‘’Plant and Soil Health Management: Issues and Innovations’’ held at University of Mysore, Karnataka.
Ms. Nimmala Sree Valli, presently pursuing her Ph.D. from Agricultural college and Research Institute, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu AgriculturalUniversity (TNAU)in theDepartment of Plant Pathology. She has graduated from Acharya N G Ranga Agricultural University (ANGRAU)in the year 2020. She did her Master’s degree in Plant Pathology from Agricultural College and Research Institute, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu AgriculturalUniversity (2020-2022). She was awarded ICAR PG scholarship during her Master’s degree. Her area of specialization includes Plant Virology and Nano formulations. She has contributed to the portion of bacteriology in this book.
