Dr. Shailendra Kumar Tiwari, Dean, College of Veterinary Science & A.H., Anjora, Durg and former DirectorInstructions, Chhattisgarh Kamdhenu Vishwavidyalaya, Durg (CG) and Professor and Head, Department of Veterinary Surgery and Radiology has been conferred with “Gaurav Ratna Award 2022” by Pashudhan Samridhi India. Dr. Tiwari obtained his B.V.Sc. & A.H. and M.V.Sc. and A.H. degree from Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Jabalpur(M.P.) in 1983 and 1988 respectively with the Gold Medalist in both the degree. Dr. Tiwari obtained his Ph.D. degree in 1996 from G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar Uttarakhand underthe guidance ofrenowned Surgeon Prof. (Dr.) Amresh Kumar and received “Jawaharlal Nehru Award” of ICARfor Best Ph.D. thesis in 1998. Dr. Tiwari started his service career as Veterinary Officerin 1985 and became Professor and Head in 2003, where he was continuing before selection in the Post of DirectorInstructions in 2014. Dr. Tiwari joined the post of Dean on 12 March, 2020. During the academic Dr. Tiwari is recipient of many awards viz. University Gold Medalfor B.V.Sc.& A.H. and M.V.Sc.& A.H. degree.R.K.Gambheer Gold Medal, Behre Gold Medal, Patwardhan Gold Medal, Jawaharlal Nehru Award, ICAR Juniorfellowship, ICAR Seniorfellowship, Common Wealth fellowship, etc. Dr. Tiwari has 32 years experience of teaching, research and extension work in the field of Veterinary Science. He has guided 29 M.V.Sc. and 1 Ph.D. student. Dr. Tiwari has done pioneer work on “Reversal of anaesthesia in large animals after surgery to avoid prolong recumbency”. For this work he has been awarded “Jawaharlal Nehru Award” by ICAR, New Delhi.Dr.Tiwariis recipient of several other awards viz. Best Teacher Award, Bharat Jyoti Award, A.K. Bhargava Memorial Award, Pashudhan SilverJubilee Award, Krishi Shiromani Award, Fellow of NAVS, Fellow ofISVS, Executive Council Member of NAVS from the last 4 years, etc. Dr. Tiwari has been the Principal Investigator of an ICAR sponsored adhoc project on Urolithlasis in animals with a total outlay of 27.85 lakhs. Dr. Tiwari has high scientific temperament and published 269 research papers in reputed journals of India and abroad. Dr. Tiwari is a member of Academic Council, Administrative Council and Executive Council of CGKV, Durg from the last 6 years. He was also a member of Governing Council of NAVS for 3 years. Dr. Tiwari has published a book entitled “Text book of Anaesthesia and Anaglesia” published by New Delhi Publisher, New Delhi in 2018. Dr. Tiwari is famous for performing successful surgery in large and small animals in whole Chhattisgarh state.
Dr Kaiser Parveen was born on 25 October, 1982 at Bhilai, Chhattisgarh. She has passed her High School Certificate Examination in the year 1998 and Higher Secondary Examination in 2000 under the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi.InDecember 2001, she started her study in veterinary profession from the College of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry, Anjora, Durg (C.G.)underIGKV, Raipur and obtained the Degree of B.V.Sc. & A.H. in the year 2007, M.V.Sc. degree in Animal Genetics & Breeding in the year 2009 from IGKV, Raipur and Ph.D. degree from NDRI, Karnal in 2017. Rightfrom the beginning the author has good academic record with first division in High School Certificate Examination, Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination, Graduation, and first division with distinction in Master’s and Doctorate level. She has been the recipient of ICAR Institutional Fellowship for Ph.D. degree in NDRI, Karnal. Author has published more than 20 research papers related to the field of genetics & breeding in different peer reviewed and reputed Indian journals. Author has worked as Co P.I. in many externally funded projects.
Dr. Om Prakash Dinani was born on June 30, 1981 at Village-Belgahna, Bilaspur district of Chhattisgarh. His mother is late smt. Puspa Dinani motivator of his life. His father Shri Narayan Das Dinani is working as a Headmaster in the department of tribal welfare, Chhattisgarh government. He has secured the 1st rank in the all classes from class 1 to 12 passed from Govt.B.H.S.S.,Belgahna, Bilaspur, (C.G.). He has graduated (B.V.Sc.&A.H.) from College of Veterinary Science & A.H., Anjora, Durg (C.G.), obtainedM.V.Sc.andPh.D. inPoultry Science fromIVRIDU,Izatnagar (U.P.) and PGDAEM from MANAGE, Hyderabad securing 1strank. He has joined the post of Assistant Professorin the Department of Instructional Livestock FarmComplex at College of Veterinary Science and A.H., Anjora, Durg on 29 June, 2012 under Chhattisgarh Kamdhenu Vishwavidyalaya, Durg, securing 1strank in the Assistant Professor selection. Before joining CGKV, he has also worked as a Veterinary Assistant Surgeon in Livestock Development Department,Govt.of Chhattisgarhfrom06 January, 2010 to 28 June, 2012, securing 1strank in Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission. He has been also awarded ICAR JRF AIR 13th (2008) and ICAR SRF AIR 1st(2011). He has been also qualified mains examination for ASRB in the year 2012 and 2015. He is also the recipient of State level krishi Shiromani Award from honourable Governor of Chhattisgarh state in the year 2015. He has received National Award of Dr. D. Choudhary best Ph.D. thesis from Indian Poultry Science Association in year 2019. He has also received best poster and oral presentation awards in different conferences. He has acted as additional charges as Officer Incharge of Bull Mother Experimental Farm Livestock unit (3 years), Fodder unit (1 year), Poultry farm (7 years), Establishment section (7 years), TechnicalOfficertoDean (7 years), Vehicle Section (4 years), Garden section (7 years) , PRO (7 years) and Guest House(1 years). He has published Books-6, Practical manuals-13, Research articles-92, Abstracts-66, Popular articles-28, Technical bulletins-11, Leaflets/ Pamphlets/ Folders-44, etc. He has also worked as PI in ICAR,TSP, Sarguja, PI in NIF, DST, Co-PI one in BARC, three ICAR(AICRP in cattle, TSP Kadaknathand TSP Baster) and one NIF funded project. He has also worked as organizer; convenor and co-organizer in 43 trainings programmes including skill India programme. He has also worked as Nodal Officer NISAGENT, Convenor in Animal Science InformationCentreofDSVCKV,Durg andNodal officerfor SkillIndia programme of government of India. He has also acted as Co-organizing and Finance secretary in XXXVI IPSACON-2019 and Joint organizing secretary and Finance secretary in ISACP-2023.
Dr. Md. Osamah Kalim, Assistant Professor, Department of Veterinary Surgery & Radiology, College of Veterinary Science & A.H., Durg (C.G) was born on 26th October, 1979 at Ranchi Jharkhand. Dr.Kalim obtained his B.V.Sc. & A.H and M.V.Sc. degree from Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Raipur (C.G.) in 2006 and 2008 respectively with the distinction and Merit Scholarship in M.V.Sc. degree and Ph.D. from DSVCKV, Durg. Dr. Kalim started his service career as a Teaching Assistant in 2008 to 2009 in the department of Veterinary Surgery & Radiology. He also worked as Veterinary OfficerinWild Life Trust of India for one yearinUdanti Sanctuary, Chhattisgarh and Dudhwa Tiger Reserve, (U.P). He was selected as Assistant Professor in 2010 at Shere-e- Kashmir Agricultural University, Srinagar(J&K). Dr. Kalim was the Principal Investigator of an RCM project sponsored SKUAST-K on Clinicophysiological and biochemical effects of epidural bupivacaine and ketamine in cow calves in SKUAST-K. He was again selected as Assistant Professor in Chhattisgarh Kamdhenu Vishwavidyalaya, Durg in 2012, where he is continuing till date. Dr. Kalim has 12 years experience of teaching, research and extension work in the field of Veterinary Science in general and Veterinary Surgery in particular . He has guided 08 M.V.Sc. students as minor guide. Dr. Kalim is the co-Principal Investigator of National Livestock Mission of Indian Government in the field of extension work. Dr. Kalim has published 16 International Research papers, 21 National Research papers, 26 Clinical articles (total 63) and 108 abstracts in reputed journals ofIndia and abroad. Dr. Kalim has been also published 01 Book and 02 chapters in different books. He is well known for successful surgery in small and large animals in Chhattisgarh state.
